This capability fundamentally degrades the reliability of satellite imagery for OSINT by introducing indistinguishable synthetic artifacts into the geospatial record. It forces analysts to rely increasingly on subtle physical inconsistencies, such as impossible lighting geometry or texture blending errors, to validate image authenticity rather than trusting the data source itself.
