@sjolsen@tech.lgbt in theory, the entire idea of having the entire system be understood as a bunch of small programs written in an understandable syntax that does not require compilation nor recompilation, using the whole "files represent everything" unix architecture, is ACTUALLY a pretty nice and compelling idea The issue is that things don't work like that, systems are massively complex, things just don't work ideally, and not every problem can be solved with the unix hammer
