It kind of fries me a bit whenever I see liberals from the entertainment world talking about the situation in my country or in the world with phrases like "the writers" or "this season" or "ham-fisted symbolism" as if the symbolic order is fictional or as if the stuff actually going on is no more real than a TV show. There really aren't words to describe how derealized these people are. As long as the lights come on in their million dollar homes and the data flows to their devices every day, they live in an ominous floating castle from which all things appear to be equivalent.
