I continue to hope that what’s happening now will change the mindset of consumers from upgrading and buying new gear every cycle to keeping devices longer — and also repairing older devices to keep them running longer. We are at a point where technology is fast enough, big enough and good enough. Performance gains are marginal at best. Was last years iPhone really that much better than this years? Nope.
