@odakin@social.vivaldi.net To be clear: the American politicians don't care very much what the people think, they want money. Their main job seems to be raising campaign funds, first to get elected, then to build up re-election funds, but also so that they can make the required donations to the national parties. Sort of like organized crime.

@JamesK@sfba.social so difficult to run a democracy/republic even in the originating country of its modern form! I personally put some hope on Mamdani and wish it grows.
