Like many others I have lived in a fantasy. A lie created by prosperity and opportunities created through the exploitation of others, through the destruction of nature, through the slow but steady elimination of a livable atmosphere. The fantasy is unravelling as the criminals in Russia, the oppressors in Iran, the strongmen of the CCP and the Mafiosi in the US are pushing our political systems towards the brink. And instead of being out there and fighting these fuckers and the fascist goons 1/x

I'm still pursuing an idealist career and worrying about my middle-class life, my pension, my hobbies... So pathetic and yet so human. It's all so fucked up and I don't see anyone in the political elite able or willing to really bring about change. I know it's important to not lose hope but it's really hard seeing all the suffering and inequality out there and all these fuckers intent on getting ever richer and ever more powerful instead of making the world more peaceful and more equitable. 2/x
