Oh, I’m sure it won’t look the same as it did back then, but honestly, did any Americans expect there to be an SA-equivalent in the US that would gun down people in broad daylight and get away with it? How about sending people to torture camps in El Salvador with no recourse? If you think something won’t ever happen, you’ll miss the warning signs too. Besides, I think humanity learned not nearly enough of our collectively history of wars. We’re still killing each other for no fucking reason.

I’m not trying to downplay it, dismiss it, make it seem like it’s nothing any of that I want to point out something interesting That every single generation has seen: War and Disease and they usually correspond to each other. There’s always been a perceived reason on their end but we deal with the fallout. You know what still bothers me, is how putin pre-emptively tried to use denazification as the main underscoring reason for wanting to colonize ukraine, thinking that everyone would be on board tried to say unfair trade. fuck outta here. you know what every single war has also shown, we all want the water. most wars are near the coastal zones, inland wars are proxy wars.
