How closely does your writing resemble that of the writers who inspire you?
If I stick to comics, one of my main inspiration is Chris Claremont’s work on the X-men:
* He created complex characters, with motivations and flaws, highly human
* He made women first class characters
* He add issues that were moments of respite between battles that allow for deeper character development
I can see lots of similarities with what I try to do with Esther and Érié

Talk about an inspiration for an element in your current WIP. While Esther and Érié is mostly set in the imaginary city of Great Albion, I’ve started to draw a series of arts of my characters in landscapes of my region. For this art, I chose the cloyster of the cathedral Saint-Tugdual in Treguier. I decided to do it after seeing this vintage poster #writerscoffeeclub 2026-07-12 [Illustration: Vintage poster of the cloyster]
