@AvonVilla The French electoral system has neither preferential nor compulsory voting. Electoralism can only go so far, but it's worth considering how local differences require different tactics. In France, you need to convince reluctant voters to turn up and hold their nose to vote for a candidate they hate in order to keep out a candidate who hates whole groups of people. In Oz, perhaps we need to normalise sentiments like "put corrupt racists last" and then let people debate which group(s) fall into that description (hint: more than one party! Hence the need to differentiate between degrees/forms of corrupt racism).
