There seems to be an obsession in UK mystery TV series with classic (or at least quirky old) cars. Recent ones I can recall: 60s XKE, Nissan Figaro, 90s BMW 3 series, early 70s MGB, 80s Nissan sports car. I understand period pieces needing period correct cars but these ones are not that.
