Cara is turning into a very affectionate kitty. I've gotten the exposed belly more than once now and in the middle of the night she crawled up on me and started nuzzling my ear. I still feel bad having to put her in her carrier if someone's coming over so that she doesn't run out, and for leaving her alone yesterday and again today. Her mews are so pathetic! I thik that most of this comes from the fact that she's still so new and I'm afraid that she'll end up not bonding well with me because of the association between the carrier, and bathroom, and me. I see it as temporary though, until she can be taught how to not run out the door if it opens. She does have a collar now with a bell and a tag with her name and my phone number on it, but I'd still prefer that she not be wandering around the building. But, overall this transition really is working out well.
