@Geri@veganism.social The Jewish community is intertwined with the State of Israel. Many/most of us have family there. Some religious ritual items can only be made in Israel, too. And in 1948, Arab states unfortunately did not encourage their Jewish citizens to stay outside of a state they considered evil. Instead, they deported the Jews... to Israel. To disavow Israel, even as an American Jew, is not an option.
