That's all very familiar. Because of my professional background, I think of it as having to do in software what neurotypical people do in hardware. We're cognitively running rings round the other people in the room while they're standing there and faintly wondering what's wrong with us.
It's no wonder our CPUs run hot — that social interaction is exhausting (even if we find it stimulating and enjoyable) and we need time to recover afterwards.
