In the backyard today: cardinals (including fledglings!), song sparrows, robins, and a red-eyed vireo (unusual in the yard!). You can feel the beginnings of movement, migratory birds shifting as they prepare to leave (like the vireo). Some have even left already, it's a very bittersweet time to me.
