@darrenhartland@caneandable.social I wouldn't normally comment on this, but my reaction is interesting, to me at least. Basically I like most of it The only thing I'm not quite sure about for my own tastes is the bass drum sound. However, when all the reverb comes in an it gets louder, it gets that compressed sound back that I don't like at allWhile I could change my audio to make that kind of music sound good, it would ruin older music and even modern dance music, both of which I preferI would like all the reverb and so on if it didn't feel so middle rangy and fatiguing, 80s music often did that brilliantly

@davetaylor2112@someplace.social Yes I entirely agree re 80s music, producers really knew what they were doing. I think if I mastered the track some of the mid range thing would be smoothed out some. but I have to admit I don't listen to a lot of this kind of music, so I'm not comparing it to anything other than itself.
