From a theoretical pov, the essence of technical advancement, including AI & Co., is to be used. We cannot go back. Think of atomic bomb. Humans don't like to use it, but they did and probably continue to do so. So, in practical terms, this means that it doesn't make sense to fight it, we should be educated about it and be ready to challenge it, regulate it.

@giuseppegv@mastodon.uno @Tutanota@mastodon.social The inevitability of AI is a lie created by a wealthy investment class that has so thoroughly stolen everything not nailed down that they have to invent new things to put their money into. It hasn't even proved that it's useful or even able to turn a profit for anyone, let alone that it's "atom bomb" levels of significant. It is infact making people less competent, less literate, less functional. AI is still a bubble, that hasn't changed.
