@VenusianMars@cupoftea.social @pezmico@mastodon.nz My point being that shaming people verbally doesn't work. But! It does facilitate pushing people with the wrong mindset towards harmful ideologies. Identity politics doesn't resolve tribalism, it enhances it. Quite the paradox, considering that it's intention is to (supposedly) do the opposite of what it claims. This has been documented ad nauseum. Prime example: Shiraz Maher.

I comprehend the concept you're putting forth. I greatly dislike when people are shamed for their particular level of involvement, especially in political arena. I didn't receive this sentiment as such. Thanks for explaining your view.
