Biggest issue is that it depends on application. I was until today in the tidypolars side but today data it failed completely. While testing duckplyr for the first time works pretty nicely I admit. Seems like a wild range of options like messaging or microblogging apps where it is hard to know where to stand and put efforts in

@ginolhac@fosstodon.org as far as I can tell they're all faster, all have lower memory requirements, but vary in the degree to which they are a true drop-in replacement for your current tidyverse code. I wish there was a way to know in advance which one is most likely to work for me, but on the otherhand, I guess it's not too hard to try out each one 🤷♂️

@ginolhac@fosstodon.org @LeafyEricScott@fosstodon.org I do hope that tidypolars is useful to some people, but honestly I can't compete with the manpower dedicated to duckplyr. I also have less usecases for tidypolars as I'm now looking for a job. (That said I still gladly accept bug reports and feature requests in tidypolars :) )
