Camp Muir, Mount Rainier National Park. 8 mi, 4,640 ft (again). #PNW #hiking #backcountry #skiing The 2024 trip was in late July. Went in late May this time for more snow coverage. We were able to skin pretty much the whole way up except for the first 0.3 miles, over Panorama Point, and across Pebble Creek. Skied pretty much the same amount down. Conditions were considerably better this time. There was even a tiny bit of fresh snow that had been falling during the ascent!
