Love the feedback I'm getting on the ST:TNG voice interface clone :) As an FYI, I've taken up the old IRC-practice of idling in a channel for anyone who'd want to discuss that or other local LLM projects.
Although nowadays I do prefer #Matrix to IRC: https://matrix.to/#/#LocalLLaMa:argot.se

... ahhhhhhh it "only" needed both text based as well as audio energy based echo cancellation but now it's possible to also interrupt the computer while it's talking and redirect it to another task. This might not sound like a big thing but it works _wonders_ for the perceived usability of a voice assistant.
