Selon l’analyse, le déclencheur initial pourrait venir de l’écosystème underground lui-même : — arrestation en juin 2025 de quatre acteurs français liés à BreachForums ; — saisie de l’infrastructure du forum en octobre ; — puis réaction très hostile de son administrateur envers la France. Une forme de retaliation-driven targeting, au moins dans la phase initiale. *"The analysis suggests that, at least in an initial phase, certain events internal to the underground ecosystem may have acted as a trigger. The arrests, in June 2025, of four prominent French threat actors linked to BreachForums, followed by the seizure of the forum’s infrastructure in October 2025, appear to have generated a strong reaction against France from the forum administrator at the time, acting as a possible initial trigger capable of directing attention toward French targets"
