@Maker_of_Things@cupoftea.social @suearcher@toot.wales Ours looks to be "one piece" so when the LED blows, we have to replace the whole fitting. Very environmentally friendly I don't think. 😟

I reckon that as it is in a recessed fitting, with no ventilation holes for fire safety, the 10W LED bulb has simply overheated over the decade. I am not sure how well the fitting would have lasted had I used the 100W bulbs they were intended for!

@NormanDunbar@mastodon.scot We have a few one piece flat flush fitting LED lights. I do like them, but I also worry about how long they will last, and if they are suitable for someone who prefers repairability. @suearcher@toot.wales
