@Edent@mastodon.social And, for the benefit of anyone searching and finding this thread: here is the surprisingly 2004-era website for US publications wanting to request an ISSN: https://www.loc.gov/issn/ (and it’s free). And here for completeness is the National Library of Australia: https://www.library.gov.au/services/publishers-and-self-publishers/international-standard-serial-number-issn where they are keen to point out that a blog is *not* eligible, but a newsletter *is*.
