@cstross@wandering.shop @RogerBW@discordian.social @zzt@mas.to @davidgerard@circumstances.run @denisbloodnok@mendeddrum.org That's the one I meant. :-( I interviewed Oliviers about the end of round 2 — https://www.theregister.com/on-prem/2024/01/19/zx-spectrum-next-issue-2-ships-out-chip-shortages-be-damned/415169 I could put you in touch? Meantime, the next best bet is a ZX N-Go. https://manuferhi.com/c/n-go Specs etc: https://manuferhi.com/p/n-go-board Highly compatible. Doesn't look as cool but I think it's a better keyboard (if you choose one with a keyboard). I wrote about them too: https://www.theregister.com/on-prem/2022/01/06/diy-sinclair-clones-too-late-for-next-just-build-your-own/597456

@cstross@wandering.shop @lproven@social.vivaldi.net @RogerBW@discordian.social @zzt@mas.to @davidgerard@circumstances.run @denisbloodnok@mendeddrum.org There aren't any Nexts available on a demand basis. The latest Kickstarter updates are that issue 3 are now all manufactured and are going to be shipping imminently (they're currently trying to work out the best/cheapest way to ship). Sometimes there are a very small number of Nexts left over after the production run, but really you're best following the Next Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/237301699960491 There are sometimes people selling their pledge or machine at very reasonable prices, and usually ebay sales (at varying prices from reasonable to excessive). I plumped for the issue 3 despite already having an Issue 2 I've not used much, I couldn't resist such a passion project despite not really being a huge Speccy fan. Probably going to sell my issue 2 at some point.
