@RunRichRun@mastodon.social And I should admit that I have made errors like this before for my classes or on a test I gave to my students. I am not immune. Still, I agree with you. The trouble is we have devoted so few resources to schools that everyone is doing several jobs and they no longer have time to proofread three times (not to mention we are not always drawing the top teachers due to the lack of resources). So it is funny, but I do have some grace for those who have made mistakes.

@Brad_Rosenheim@climatejustice.social I admit to being far from perfect — who among us has not made a missteak, right? On a more serious note there was a similar "hollowing out" across industry in the 80s, when first desktop and later, portable computers were introduced. No one noticed the demise of skilled clerical employees — most secretaries disappeared because everyone had a p.c. — the great technology awakening which was meant to usher in a new era of productivity. Haha.
