there are a lot of "memory-holed" events in US history, but Covid's peak was only 6 years ago
There were freezer trucks parked outside of hospitals to store corpses, because so many people were dying
It was not some kind of irrational panic, and there is a wildly large contingent of people in the world that views it as such
