@gintoxicating@transister.social It just means we (Tapbots) have to pay Texas taxes on each sale and are just disclosing it. Has nothing to do with whether you have to pay or not. We don't explicitly charge anyone tax when purchasing, but we have to pay taxes on every sale because we are based in Texas.

@tapbots@tapbots.social ok but i am pretty sure that’s an incorrect way to collect sales/use taxes (not a CPA but i’ve run online businesses for almost 30 years) if i buy a license online, i owe sales and use taxes where i was when the purchase happened (my state) and not in your state. so you are both paying a tax not due and leaving me with a liability. anyway I just decided to skip buying, i don’t need the hassle. thanks for reply
