sigh, i suspected as much... Since I MUST use Codex in my daily work, every time I open Codex, it takes AGES to render a window, and for the first few minutes typing anything in to the text input box takes a good 2-3 seconds to show up. Wireshark confirms. Each keystroke is sent and responded to by a UDP QUIC session to chatgpt.com I highly suspect that the "local" GPT window on my desktop is a fancy RDP/citrix style remote application being displayed locally. Fuck this timeline.
