Connected to what I just boosted about having a personal website, I’m happy to lease a domain in order to have a consistent email address that is not connected to an email provider. I’ve switched providers multiple times over decades and never had to tell people to use a different address to reach me.

I will say the chaos of having an address @nonwrestler.com has caused me no end of confusion and second-takes from retail staff etc over the years. Sometimes fun, sometimes tedious.
