SHANGHAI DOG This Evolution 1985 Canada pressing For fans of independent Canadian rock from the #80s , this is a bit of a sought after record. I found it in a thrift store in Chilliwack about a decade ago. A killer #postpunk #newwave rock record, it’s got a political tone to it, as well as dealing with themes of social unrest and alienation, like any good #punk record should. The bass lines on this album are killer! Those come courtesy of the great Ron Allan, who along with guitarist Mike Graham, were members of the legendary Vancouver band Subhumans. This is the only record ever released by Shanghai Dog.
