@ubernostrum@infosec.exchange weirdly I agree with you. I actually think the macro-structure of the plot hangs together fine, this is clearly where they intended to go. The big problems I have with it have to do with where these supernatural influences actually intersect with the individual motivations of the characters.

@ubernostrum@infosec.exchange In the text of the show everything does at least _sort of_ make sense, but a lot of people do wildly extreme and out-of-character things, presumably under the influence of some (usually malign) supernatural entity, but in terms of the implications and the specifics and inciting incidents, there's an awful lot of "a wizard did it, off screen. no, you don't need to see the wizard. stop asking about it, watch this amazing actor cry for 15 minutes straight, don't you feel the EMOTIONS"
