@RonjaBiernat@chaos.social I'm chairing a conference and my co chair found software to verify references. (Ironically it was vibe coded but anyways). We desk rejected papers with over 10% fake references and asked reviewers about the borderline cases.

@va2lam@mastodon.nz I have no experience with vibe coding, but I'm glad you've found a way to check references. [I looked it up, so I now have a better idea of what it is.] Why did you decide to draw the line at 10%? Is there a particular reason for that?
