A good example is tech "security" stuff aimed at the general public. I actually read a lot of it, for sad reasons that you can probably figure out pretty quickly! And I find much of it baffling, overwhelming, loaded with posturing that seems aimed at Other Security People and not someone like me

@grimalkina@mastodon.social i keep talking to "regular people" about password managers and I always get the feeling that folks think they "should" use a password manager or that it's the "right thing" but they have legitimate concerns that haven't been addressed
