those of us outside the white supremacist western empire i suspect that we both can agree that the non-white racial makeup of the ice agents and republicans give the illusion that it’s not a “white” supremacist empire. i agree with the sentiment shared in your comment and my only quibble is that using “white” – although accurate – detracts from the messaging and i wonder there’s a another term that can be used for the overwhelming majority of westerners that rely on superficial/popular understanding that the word “white” carries with it.

True however illusions do not change the fact that white supremacy is the bedrock upon which the western liberal hegemonic order is built. All it does is add to the imperative of pointing it out consistently so that said illusion cannot be used as the ideological veil it is intended to be. i agree with the sentiment shared in your comment and my only quibble is that using “white” – although accurate – detracts from the messaging and i wonder there’s a another term that can be used for the overwhelming majority of westerners that rely on superficial/popular understanding that the word “white” carries with it. I think it’s best to avoid ceding ground in the realm of thought to the reactionaries, instead focusing on forcing them to see reality as it is. That white is the designated ingroup of the current hegemonic empire.
