Here's an example on Wikipedia "A 28.5 meter parabolic satellite communications antenna at Erdfunkstelle Raisting (Raisting Earth Station), Bavaria, Germany, the biggest facility for satellite communication in the world. It has a Cassegrain-type feed, transmits at 6 Ghz and receives at 4 Ghz with a gain of 64.2 dB"

@davep@infosec.exchange @dtl@8bitorbust.info @a2es@mstdn.social Yes, yes it is, the gain will be less by (waves hands) "an amount" for the lower frequency, but I'd expect 30-40db maybe. If I could remember my college education better I'm sure I could calculate it. This is the problem with not doing any college this century.
