@alpacamale@social.cologne @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu As an Italian, that's primarily a necessity because schools are not equipped to hold classes during the summer, when temperatures are unbearable. As a child, I liked the idea of such a long summer break, but I think that if it were 2-4 weeks shorter, it would make it easier to maintain continuity and avoid a summer knowledge reset. The removed days could be distributed throughout the year to provide breaks during longer school periods.
