finally installed iOS 26 last night and wow this sucks so much more (or i’m noticing it more because i engage with core apps and services far more often) than macOS Tahoe. getting from an app to the home screen has a noticeable delaysafari’s “compact” view sucks ass and even after switching to the old layout everything is just kind of a bummer? remember when the current tab had an outline in the tab overview?they changed the fucking keyboard. for the worse. and check out the attached screenshot to see why i have no idea if there’s a typo. what the fuck is this. who is it helping? not me! (the only way to fix that was to dismiss—via this shit-ass new check bar—the keyboard and re-invoke it.)music gets worse with every iterationi had to reduce animations, increase contrast, switch to “tinted,” and probably something else just to avoid having a visceral response to liquid glass every time i looked at my phone yet the lock screen “buttons” for flashlight and camera still look awful so yeah i’d say this is a resounding success guys i’m glad someone got absurdly rich for hitting their fuckin’ okr or pki or whatever
