Rianne's defense was largely based on her not knowing that what she wrote was also published on Gemini, despite her site having a clear "Gemini edition" link. The judge found that her testimony on this topic was "not correct". I'll leave it up to the reader to decide whether someone with a degree in computer science should be expected to understand the nature of the site they publish or not.
