@smitjo each year i aspire & try hard to survive til early june, but most years i miserably comprehensibly fail, by many weeks, alas. in more recent years i have allowed myself to give in & turn it on once my breath bigly condenses on the mirror or windows. i'm on a roughly similar latitude to you, but a somewhat greater altitude. all my existence i've been a cold frog, sigh. on ridiculous days like today, i simply do tend to give up & bung the flued space-heater on, whilst hoping i won't need to keep using it on consecutive days, till "june", ha.
