maybe this seems like crazy talk but i've become so disinterested in the very prominent techie side of fedi whatever programming or other computer bs is something i no longer care to see, so a generalist or art-focused instance would in theory be perfect for me except that nearly most of them i have found to be wanting. using mastodon or misskey or tumblr-clone or whatever ui, which i hate. it kind of feels like fedi isn't for me at times
