Having driven a decent number of different cars at this point, I definitely think the mid-2000's is a sweet spot. New enough to have creature comforts, air con, power steering, electric windows, reliable fuel injection. Old enough to not have a ridiculous set of "helpful" driver assistance features that frankly are more distracting than much else.
