@plzupgrademe@fedi.txw.ca Ah, so it's more nostalgia than "cold facts". I get that. My absolute favourite train is the Wadloper, a dorky diesel railbus. It was the only train we had in our area (https://mastodon.online/@Pepijn/112915515619185782) and in modern terms objectively not great, even for short journeys. Would love to travel on one again though (just not daily).
