My best friend is a straight guy, trusted and beloved like a sibling. I'm a lesbian, married to my wife for 14 years. And yet, every time my guy friend comes to visit, people weirdly ask "is your wife going to be okay with that?" Lesbian. Happily married. Sibling relationship.
