@atpfm@mastodon.social If you want “beach metrics”, tell me what you think of Sydney’s beaches, the ones north of the famous two (Bondi and Manly) Freshwater, Curl Curl, Dee Why … Mona Vale, Newport, Avalon? There’s goldilocks levels of uniformity, curvature, width (the walk from grass to water), steepness (on sand and in water), and a gorgeous view with clifftops at the headlands. Each have a slightly different angle into the ocean. So not just the essentials like sand quality and climate. Or access to civilisation.
