@briankrebs@infosec.exchange The creation of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in 2002 was the largest reorganization of the U.S. federal government since World War II. At the same time, immense power was given to the executive branch and the DHS director to have full authority over these domestic civil sectors. The propensity to instill a further fascist state was always there. FEMA is apart of that consolidation and will be used for whatever means of a state without regulation. TLDR the state is wielding a well greased tool.
