A friend I haven't seen in a long time sent me a video update out of the blue. I sent one back to reply. I was watching it back just now, and it's made me realize how terrible of a communicator I am. Somewhere between my brain and my mouth a perfectly cogent, succinct thought turns into a jumbled mess of half thoughts followed by tangents followed by a 50/50 split of either the second half of that thought, or a completely different tangent. No wonder I'm never able to get my ideas across. I'm frankly surprised anybody wants to engage with me at all if this is what it's actually like.
