He either did no self-reflection, or his self-reflection resulted in a clear decision to prove the worst interpretations of his actions accurate.” Definitely applies to DHH, but also applies to other influential people in tech who feel that they’re above reproach and accountable to no one. People reveal a lot about themselves in how they respond (or fail to respond) to legitimate concerns about their actions or views.
