@gullevek@famichiki.jp By this measure we are all idiots ever since we moved on from assembly code to higher level languages (because a lot more people could become programmers).

@OndrejMirtes@phpc.social compared to the people that was forced to write assembly, yes we are! Hamilton landing the Apollo with kilobytes of memory, or even shuffling entire games in NES/Atari cartridges was one order of magnitude more clever of what we churn out today. Granted, we push out 5-10 order of magnitude MORE software, but surely not more clever or better. @gullevek@famichiki.jp

@OndrejMirtes@phpc.social No. I just see it already how much crap gets shit out thanks to LLM. Nobody will be able to check this. And nobody does. How many of those Vibe coders will use tools like Phpstan? I doubt many. Or any at all
