it’s your literal job to teach your students about the church-turing correspondence, Turing completeness, the practical importance of evaluating efficiency, classes of automata, and the halting problem
judging by the comments I’ve seen from some of the jackasses on hacker news, you failed at that task long ago and we’re seeing the outcome of that failure now
