@gary_alderson@infosec.exchange I think the European car makers are in for a rough ride. The top of the line SL7 sells for 42k after rebates, which is 15k less than VW's ID.5. But it has almost twice the power and a lot of stuff included VW doesn't even offer, like in-seat a/c, a very plush interior, and a sunroof. And that's only BYD. Also crowding into the market are Zeekr, Xiaomi, Leapmotor, the new Smart, and several BYD or Geely sub-brands like Denza. The VW EVs are nice, but this is going to be tough.
